    The Technical Sales Specialist position is responsible direct marketing and selling IXR and RO with special focus on Specialty Product Line within NA while cultivating long lasting customer relationships to contribute to effective NA regional growth.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Thorough understanding of customers’ businesses and well developed commercial negotiation and sales follow-up of its client portfolio in order to maximize results and align customer needs with business objectives.
    • Ability to develop new business following global and regional strategies seeking to increase sales and greater profitability.
    • Call on end users, OEMs, distributors, A/E etc for IXR and membranes.
    • Work with customers and engineering personnel for process reviews, product selections, and system optimizations.
    • Through personal customer contact, aggressively solicit new business in the industrial applications where the superior performance of our products and technical expertise can be sued to our advantage.
    • Understand the key markets drivers, adapt a marketing strategy, maintain good understanding of new product developments and market trends to gain competitive advantage. · Frequent analysis of market trends, potential demands and new business opportunities through contacts with customers, distributors and market intelligence activities.
    • Provide regular communications with internal personnel and arrange joint travel with global/regional technical marketing personnel
    • Maintain close contact with the parent company in Germany and other subsidiaries / plants through exchanges of market / product / price information in order to leverage market share and area sales in the region.
    • Promote the interface between the client and the global technical centers by addressing regional technical issues.
    • Focus on Specialties applications  and in other IER and RO opportunities.
    • Provide direct customer interface on pricing, availability, technical data, samples, literature and negotiation through closure.

    In cooperation with Segment Manager :

    •  Supply input for preparation of sales, volume and expense forecasting and budgets .
    • Frequent monitoring of sales made vs budget and forecast directing their actions to reach the goals.
    • Monitor client credit exposure to minimize the financial risks of the operation - has shared responsibility for collections in case of late payments.
    • Track the complaints of clients ensuring that the internal stakeholders investigate and complete their tasks on time and in a manner to satisfy the client.
    • Faithfully follow the philosophy of business and the company in compliance with ethical practices. Act in the protection of the company name and its assets in accordance with the company's global guidelines.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to travel within NA to visit and assist customers.
    • Use CRM Tool to enter, distribute and store timely call reports and key customer specific information.
    • Ability to effectively monitor Sales Performance according to price/volume previously established
    • Ability to handle difficult customer negotiations
    • Basic understanding of complex technical issues and ability to presnt technical/sales position
    • Organizational flexibility
    • Combined ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
    • Project management
