    The Project Engineer located at the Fords New Jersey plant bridges the boundaries between engineering and project management by leading the teams to safely and successfully complete projects within the defined timelines and requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Develop detailed project scope with costs and timelines (justifications included)

     

    Execute projects and maintain within established costs, scope and timeline

     

    Participate in necessary safety evaluations for Capex projects and other plant modifications

     

    Perform site project safety and provide oversight to ensure safe contractor performance

     

    Collaborate with East Hanover and Fords leadership team to create more efficient methods and maintain profitability by participating in continuous improvement discussions

     

    Responsible for any assigned project/problem at the Fords and East Hanover plant locations.

     

     Handle multiple projects on two sites simultaneously

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree of problem solving ability
    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Chemical Plant Experience (Preferred)
    • 3-5 years of successful demonstration of related field and project planning experience
    • Excellent Project Management experience desired
    • AutoCAD, MS Project experience desired
    • Experience in creation and interpretation of P&ID diagrams
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
