    • Responsible for the preparation, submittal, and follow-up of regulatory reports.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for local, State, and Federal Regulatory Agencies.
    • Assist state and federal regulators during site inspections.
    • Develop new and review existing environmental management system procedures for both compliance and improvements to the Environmental Management System
    • Lead environmental continuous improvement projects.
    • Conduct routine environmental inspections at the facility; prepare and file inspection reports; and document, implement, and follow-up on necessary corrective actions.
    • Inspection, sample collection, data collection, and reporting to comply with NPDES permits.
    • Inspection, sample collection, data collection, and coordination of the annual testing and necessary work-overs on the Class I UIC Disposal Wells.
    • Collection of samples necessary for compliance with the Arkansas Department of Health drinking water requirements.
    • Support the South Arkansas Title V air permitting efforts to assure continuous reconciliation between air permit requirements and plant operations.
    • Review remediation performance and make recommendations on improvements.    
    • Complete inspections necessary to meet requirements and assist in the updating of SPCC plans.
    • Prepare scopes of work, work orders, and purchase requisitions necessary to assure compliance with regulations and to meet the Company objectives regarding Environmental Goals.
    • Train and coach operations team on new or updated procedures and site specific permit requirements.
    • Prepare and submit Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Conditions, Near Miss, and Incident reports in a timely manner. Develop, implement, and follow-up on corrective actions as necessary.
    • Develop trend analysis on Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Conditions, and Near Misses and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Participate in and lead incident investigations and the preparation of Root Cause Analysis reports.
    • Participate in and lead audits as required under ISO/RC14001 certification. Develop audit reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Support the identification and management of Aspects and Impacts under the ISO/RC14001 program.
    • Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) required reviews (PSSR, PHA) to assure environmental aspects are identified and considered.
    • Prepare safe work permits for life critical tasks for contractors supporting the environmental program.
    • Available for call-out to respond to emergency spill response and clean-up operations, neighbor complaints, and perimeter monitoring.
    • Member of the company Emergency Response/Fire Brigade


    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


    • Engineering degree in Environmental or Geology degree preferred
    • Minimum 5 years experience
    • Knowledge of Federal and State Environmental Regulations regarding Air, Water, Waste and Remediation Management
    • Solid leadership in safety and environmental compliance
    • Good interpersonal skills and able to work with a group setting
    • Advanced system skills in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS.  S.A.P. knowledge is a plus
    • Strong team player and communicator
    • Experience with developing Effective Remediation Strategies. 
    • Valid Drivers License
