    Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, (A Company of the LANXESS Group), is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individual for the position of Production Coordinator in El Dorado, Arkansas location. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will performs various clerical or coordination duties such as maintaining records, inputting data to systems, processing documents, maintaining filing system, distributing mail, and preparing, compiling and completing documents regarding billing, shipping and receiving, and/or inventory, etc., while adhere to and support of LANXESS Environmental, Health and Safety policies in a fast paced, challenging operations environment. You will ensure safe operations while performing all of your daily work tasks.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

     

    Works autonomously under general guidance; may report on progress and results only

    • Duties support the work of others to facilitate timeliness of the completion of services of the department
    • Works autonomously within established procedures and policies
    • Handles a wide variety of tasks/problems of a recurring nature
    • Searches and selects solutions based on experience and the application of acquired knowledge
    •  Perform business support work, which may be confidential in nature.

    Typical activities include (but are not limited to):

    • Deals with external sources such as customers and suppliers in order to resolve non-routine queries and problems
    • Produces regular and/or ad hoc analyses of information relating to the work processed
    • May be required to contribute to regulatory, 3rd party or other audits
    • Maintain schedules and administer systems or arrangement of activities such as purchase, receipt, dispatch, and delivery of goods and/or services
    • Handles more difficult aspects of and/or troubleshoots work performed by less senior coordinators/clerks

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Industrial Wage Certificate or 2 year degree in accounting (preferred).High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 5+ years of clerical experience or educational equivalent
    • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power-point) and Outlook
    • Must be detail oriented and demonstrate a comfort with numbers
    • Demonstrated use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software or Accounting software (SAP preferred)
    • Demonstrate knowledge of department procedures and how operations of the department relate to others
    • May be required to earn specific certification e.g. in relation to shipping dangerous goods
    • Must be able to focus for long periods of time
    • Must be able to work overtime as required
