    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Be available for safety toolbox meetings, morning meetings, etc. where safety communications are critical
    • Be a resource for Safe Work Permits and Life Critical activities to ensure proper measures are taken and procedures are being followed thoroughly with special emphasis on Cardinal Safety Rules.
    • Contributes to the implementation of all aspects of safe work, such as; lockout tag out, hot work permitting, and contractor safety management.
    • Senior individual contributor able to adapt broader EHS policies and procedures to assist line management to meet local requirements.
    • Responsible for supporting line management to maintain regulatory compliance including contractor support; work with them to correct BROWZ deficiencies, contractor pre-qualification, sub-contractor pre-qualification, and assist with conditional contractor acceptance review.
    • Take lead in vetting new venders to ensure requirements with equipment, personnel, and safety are met
    • Work site visits; coaching of personnel, pre rig set up inspection, and rig work inspections.
    • Perform Safety Audits (internal and external) along with other behavioral based or condition assessment activities. Audit safe work permits, procedures, and Job Hazard Analysis
    • The person in this role must be a coach to all levels of the organization and be regarded as a team player in support of all operational and maintenance functions.
    • Supports and contributes to incident investigations and communication of learnings to all areas of the organization.
    • Responsible for managing EHSS documentation to include program design, data collection and posting, training tracking, for area of responsibility.
    • Continually demonstrates leadership in the EHSS function by monitoring new and proposed changes to EHSS regulations pertaining to site and communicates those proposed changes prior to becoming effective and provide training where needed.
    • Understand and participate in PHMSA auditing, H2s certification requirements, Arkansas oil and gas requirements, and emergency response.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Have a safety background in the oil and gas industry so that skill level will recognize industry related risks.
    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Health and Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field)
    • Professional certification is preferred; CSP, CHMM, CIH, PE. P. Engineering or equivalent.
    • 4 – 7 years of demonstrated success in implementation of EHSS initiatives.
    • Experience with Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) a plus
    • Ability to develop and deliver specific focused safety training as needed
    • Ability to communicate effectively in a group setting and through e-mail
    • Must be a self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and take direction through various media
